Toggle Switch
A Genetic Circuit consist of genetic toggle switch coupled with repressilator,
which is a synthetic genetic regulatory network designed to exhibit a stable oscillation it is reported via expression of fluroscent tag, so acts like an electrical oscillator system.
1.A toggle switch consist of two orthologs gene of L.major these genes mutually represses each other that reflects the bistable behaviour of the switch for the gene under study.
2.Repressilator is a milestone of synthetic Biology which shows Gene regulatory Network to perform desired function. It includes three genes that code the repressor of the next gene in a cyclic manner. We have LacI,Tetr,Lambda r as repressilator genes.
3.Coupling between genetic toggle switch and repressilator is developed by lacI and gene under study where LacI regulates gene of interest and represses it.
