Researchers discover Neopusillimonas aestuarii, A Novel Bacterium from the Estuarine Waters of Gujarat.
Scientists from BRIC - National Centre for Cell Science, Sardar Patel University, Balaghat - M P , Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Csir Cimap, CHARUSAT University and Agharkar Research Institute have discovered Neopusillimons Aestuarii, a novel bacterium from India's Bhavnagar coast.
Through extensive genomic, phenotypic, and chemotaxonomic analyses, they have uncovered its unique adaptations including ectoine biosynthesis for stress tolerance, highlighting its potential for environmental biotechnology applications.
